Lovely evening last night on Black Hill. I’ve been there plenty of times before but it’s pretty near to home but off the beaten track. I wanted to go down to Smallacombe rocks but arrived on the late side after work etc. This side of the moor has quite a few stinted trees and rocks/clitter to photograph and it looks out onto the iconic Hound Tor and Greator Rocks.
The evening was very warm and still compared to last weeks trip to Rippon Tor and mild hypothermia. The light was very golden so I took the time to capture some front and side lit scenes and also took my 24-105mm lens to try some longer focal length shots and mess with depth of field. The actual sunset wasn’t spectacular but the evening overall was very tranquil and relaxing whilst getting some nice shots.
