I’ve just completed my latest article for David Noton’s Chasing the Light magazine about my intense interest in the weather. This is part of a series of article helping to explain how we can use forecasting and also our knowledge to better predict the conditions we want , as landscape photographers, to photograph.
I describe topics such as weather forecasts and satellite imagery, surface (synoptic) pressure charts, the importance of the sun’s position and cloud formation. In the next article I will discuss fog and mist, may favourite topic! 🙂
The article is available for f11 members which is a great resource for techniques and inspiration for the budding photographer of all types. The article is part of the August 2017 (Issue 67) edition. In this edition Ian Farrell has been out shooting the Henley Regatta, Ross Hoddinott considers depth, Bas Meelker is in The Big Apple and Ben Pipe reports from Naples. Editor’s Choice takes us to Fox Galcier in New Zealand, there images in the Member’s Gallery.
