I gives me great pleasure to announce I have just been named Wex Photographer of the Year 2022, after 46 weekly photographic entries, and up against some wonderful photographs/photographers. It is one of the most challenging things I have ever done photographically, even after my Dartmoor exhibition, and I would like to thank my close friends and my wife Janet for their support (and understanding!). Congratulations to James Ewer and Lucus Hunt for second and third place.
Wex Mondays is a weekly competition where you to post one image to Twitter (an now on Instagram) on a Monday that you’ve taken during the previous week and tag it with the #WexMondays hashtag. The images are then judged on the Tuesday and 10 images are shortlisted before a final top three are selected with 100 points awarded to the winner, 50 points for second and 25 for third – the remaining seven shortlisted images receive 10 points each. The photographer with most points at the end of year wins the grand prize of £1500 in Wex Photo Vouchers.
